Today, more than 68 million people around the globe have been forcibly displaced, exceeding the number of those who fled their home countries in the immediate aftermath of World War II. Few know the hopeful stories of how refugees themselves are addressing their plight, demonstrating that when they are given the tools to empower themselves, they not only thrive in their exiled state, but become valued assets to their hosts communities.
